We feel sure you've seen the Rainbow Bridge story, it has been quoted on PC many times, but one more repeat can't hurt:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Amsu is at rest now.

as the last shovel of dirt went into the grave, a bald eagle flew right over the yard. it was a true "New Mexico Flyover".......i cannot tell you how thrilled i am that the beautiful eagle appeared right over us.........

it was so fitting for Amsu as he came from New Mexico and we saw bald eagles there year round...... who could have a better "send-off"?

i can only imagine what kind of welcome Amsu got when he got to Rainbow Bridge.

he was the most dignified cat i've ever known. and he was a one woman cat. he was black, with white whiskers and huge yellow eyes. a very handsome man.

so many beloved pets there......waiting for the "new guy"......his favourite dog, Tippy, wagging his tail when he saw him coming. all of your pets there, waiting for introductions.......

i couldn't have done this as well as i did without all of you. i am indebted to you for your loving support. the pain just lies there as a dull ache in my stomach......but i will get through it. he's so much better off now.......the veterinarian was so wonderful. everything was gentle and calm. thank you all so very much.

i can just see the look on his face when he's asked for a ride, angie........he'd do it and then ask himself if he just gave a ride to BIRDS?????? love, pat

Pat I am so sorry I am late in replying here. But my thoughts have been with you and Amsu . Just went thru this a little over a year ago with Jorgie.. Maybe he and Amsu will meet up there at Rainbow Bridge. Take care hon.. Time will ease the pain your feeling.

Our vet has a poster of the Rainbow Bridge story in her waiting room.

It's so hard to lose them, we had to have our beloved Morning Star put down last month, but , honey, you did the best thing



Maybe Ansu will play with our cats too, while they wait for us.
