This is a very uncomfortable situation for me. One of my friends has a company and he has at least 10 illegal immigrants working for him. Until now I didn't say anything because that is his problem. I disagree with that but it is his own risk.
The problems is that he takes advantage of this guys and make them have sex with him.
I went one day to a stuff party at his house. He was harassing the guys continuously. They're are vey poor and they put up with his **** because they have no choice.
I feel very bad for these guys. He pays them a decent salary but I am so upset to see his behavior. For me is like his treating his staff as prostitutes.
And of course he gives them extra money to the "overtime".
Sometimes I feel like reporting him.

Why don't you report him? Is that really the type of friend you want to have?
Thanks for this!

This is a form of human trafficking. He needs to be reported.

I agree with TheWell. Is this really someone you want to be friends with?
Thanks for this!

Please, if you are able, report him. Be the voice these guys need.

Have you spoken with the workers? Do they want you to report him? What will happen to them if you do report him? If you do, what would you like to see happen to your friend? If you were asked to take a side in court, would you side with the workers or would you side with your friend?
Thanks for this!

Good thought, I wonder if there is a way for the employer to receive consequences for the abusive behavior without negative consequences for the workers?

Report him.

Those who see evil and keep silent are complicit ...

Even if the workers are deported, they will return and probably end up working for someone who is less evil than this cretin you consider a friend.

Sincerely,
Pfrog!

I don't mean to pry but when you address the people as 'guys' are they men or women or children?

Yes. He needs to employ documented legal residents in the belief that they are undocumented "illegal" residents. This is called a sting. The legal lawful docume.Ted employees can document his bad acts and testify against him, after his undocumented worders have been warned to run for the hills. The fake illegals need to be police or journalists or the agents of police or journalists OR they need to be very careful not to commit fraud or identity theft. Exploitive employer might be smart enough to insist his "illegal" workers present a driver's licence or state ID so he has something with which to blackmail them.

OP can call the labor department to ask what to do. Generally the phones are answered by bright young lawyers who care. They are happy to talk your ear off about these issues.

I can't speak to them. His my ex bf's brother. It will put me in a lot of problems. I don't think they will agree to report anything. They need their salaries for their families.
They love in very poor conditions as they send the money to their families in. Mexico
They're are all male guys. He makes parties and I saw hoe he moves around them. After the parties he asks some of them to stay at his house and sleep with him. I saw how he harass them, but they don't say anything because of the money. For the ones that sleep with him, I saw that he pays an "extra salary".

I don't really know what to do.

My opinion is that you should report this. These men are being raped every time he forces them to have sex with him. In no ways does that he provides these men "pay" for this make it not rape. This is rape! They are in his control.

Googley already posted what I came here to add. Forcing a person to have sex, even if you "pay" them, is rape.

Report him immediately! People like this get worse over time. They think no one will intervene. Do something to give these people some justice.

And you are still friends with this person for what reason?

I would not want to be friends with someone who from the sound of it sexually abuses people or coerces/forces any sort of sex/intimate contact on them.

I'd report him.

Let me get this straight if someone knows abuse is going on and who the abuser is...they should just keep it to themselves and go about their buisiness, knowing that abuse is continuing rather then perhaps reporting it.

I think you do know what to do; you're just conflicted about what will happen to this person. There isn't anything I can say that hasn't been voiced by everyone else here. Do the right thing.

Put yourself in their shoes.... wouldn't you want someone to step up and help you? And if this so called "friend" has no qualms about forcing his employees to sleep with him who knows what else he is guilty of?? What's to stop him from doing something to you or anyone else? What happens to him is none of your concern because he belongs in prison.
Thanks for this!

Once a complaint like this is made the police must investigate. I understand what you're saying, that you doubt that the employees will say anything because their illegal status will be found out, and they need that money to send to their families. I get that, I do.

But they are the victims. Not you. And definitely not this guy.

You can probably report it anonymously if that's your biggest concern.

Have you ever spoken to them about the situation, confirming the abuse? Do you know for certain this activity is not consensual "overtime" pay? How do you know he pays them extra to sleep with him? How do you know for sure the extra money is for sex?
Thanks for this!

Your ex's bf's brother is a slaver. It's just that simple. Luckily there are resources for victims of contemporary slavery and human trafficking.

Here's some hotlines: vs confronts

Here's some other resources related to contemporary slavery:

The Freedom Commons International Justice Mission

It is important to evaluate those questions I think...but if that is really what is going on I think we can all agree it is very wrong.
