I wasn't sure where else to post this, and wanted to share.

Not sure if anyone remembers the car accident I had a couple months ago, where I was too scared to call 911, freaked out, and ended up posting here trying to figure out what to do .

Last night, at 1 am - I heard yelling. Loud enough that I could hear the words, even with my window closed. It was very angry sounding with a lot of "F-you, F-this" - alot of anger, and some banging, like someone was hitting a car.

It was scary enough to me, just listening from my house, that my heart started racing and I got very shaky and sick feeling (wanting to hide).

I was *also* scared to call 911 (!), but I thought - if I'm THIS scared just listening to this person from the safety of my house, what's happening to whoever he's yelling at? I was also very scared that he was about to hurt the other person... and I could, sadly, totally imagine being on the receiving end and not able to call for help because of the crazy violent person.

So... I did it. I think I was a little bit of a mess, b/c the operator had to interrupt me with a very strict voice to get the details and address. But, I did it... and the police were in front of my house in about 4-5 minutes. I could hear them saying that they heard the guy yelling, and it seemed like it was coming from the buildings across the creek that face my condo... so they headed over there. I think I could make out them talking to the guy (not exact words), but I could hear him arguing a bit, then quiet.

I don't know how it ended (if he was arrested, or just asked to leave). From what I could tell, I think he might have been on the phone yelling at someone.

But I'm glad I was able to call, and the police were able to find him! I am generally not very effective in dealing with the world , and I was worried he'd be gone by the time they got here... and I'd look like an idiot. But it all worked out.

Unfortunately, b/c of the stress (!) I didn't fall asleep until around 3am. Way too late for me... and I am groggy and headachey and tired today.

Thanks... I was thinking of all the encouragement and help from the last thread when I was trying to get my courage up to call. So thank you, again!!!

Thanks LizardLady and ~Christina! I am sort of eager to tell my T (I'm not sure he'll get why it was a big thing for me, but I hope so) - but I don't see him for another week and a half - argh.

Thanks everyone. I really do appreciate the support and understanding! Ha... and you know what? I feel so strangely grown up now! Something about not hiding under the bed in the face of scary voices outside, I guess - lol!

*thanks!*

Good job! I know it can be pretty intimidating doing something that causes a lot of stress and anxiety, but it sounds like you handled it pretty well.
Thanks for this!
