I never thought I would ever see again pictures from growing up with family and friends. I along with everyone I know lost all of their pictures in the storm. Pictures are one of the prized possessions if you were able to save or salvage them from Katrina. Since the storm, I've thought how it would be a dream come true to have those pictures again, even just one of 'em.
Well today a Dream did come true. Mr Mac, an old family friend, stopped by my trailer. He gave me a photo album with pictures of family and friends from the 70's and 80's that he'd taken through the years. He found them yesterday in the one box of stuff his son was able to salvage from his house. I am so takan aback by this. I've called everyone and they are all excited and can't wait to see them. We've finally cried tears of happiness and not sadness. We now have pictures of us when we were younger to show to future generations. I uploaded three of these pics in People and Family. I'm honored to share these with all of you.
