This is so sad .... I feel so bad for her that she had to live like this.

I'm glad to read that she will be getting some help.

I know folks like her that have just a path carved out between all the "stuff" in their home and the doorway. They used to invite me over for dinner and would have to do 1/2 of moving things around in order for me to have a place to sit down. They raised 2 daughters in their mobile home like this. It used to scare the crap out of me thinking of what a fire hazard it all was.
I also support a woman who hoards a lot of things, but she is getting a bit better at throwing some things out lately. She wants to move to another town and I have told her that we cannot move all the "stuff" she has kept over the years. She needs to purge things in order for the move to happen. It's hard for her, and I understand that's it's hard, but she is making some headway. I hope this woman can accept the help that is offered to her and gets her home back again. |

Incredible! I don't understand behavior like that. But then, I don't have OCD, either.
