That's great, Dexter! I'm sure she will love it. And you are inspiring me to try to figure out how to make a button for my website. I know how to make an image the size I want, and even make it look like a button - I just need to figure out how to add text to it, which really shouldn't be that hard. (I have PhotoImpact, and I know it can do that kind of stuff). I understand the concepts behind animations too, and I am sure way impressed with your talent! mj14

I hope you are feeling better. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I just emailed my friend in nevada (the one who is a huge rangers fan) because if she checks the gifs on my website now i don't want her to have a heart attack to see the flyers up there now mj14

i usually root for the rangers out of loyalty for her --i don't watch any sports myself so i never have a particular team. the only hockey games i've been to have been rangers games (with her) at msg and i did have a lot of fun (she had to explain to me what was going on the whole game mj14.

the one thing that i like about her (well, it's not the ONLY thing i like about her) is that she is a real die hard fan... even i saw all the new yorkers jump on the ranger's bandwagon AFTER they won the cup several years back. she was pissed at all the brand new fans that showed up for the celebration, who likely now are back to snubbing the rangers. she's been a rangers fan for as long as i've known her and even now that she is in nevada. my introduction to the game was through her and her enthousiasm for the games so i guess the rangers do have somewhat of a special place in my heart.

I am pretty sure she does not dislike the flyers though. there are only two teams that she hates (i can't remember which, njdevils might be one but i am not sure) those two teams are the only teams she roots against when they are playing games other than with the rangers.

the thing i connect with most is the logos (because of the graphics of course) i like the flyer's logo and it was easy to draw and lent itself to amimation. and when i found out you were a flyers fan (thanks bp mj14 ) i actually thought i knew their logo before i looked it up (and i was right). i could really get into it with the team, i think the islanders? that changed their logo a while back and it looked like the Gorton's Fisherman. I think it's the islanders because i remember being at a game with her and singing the Gorton's song all eve.

one discussion i remember with her was with regard to one of the newer teams, i think florida? she was wondering how good they would be and i thought she shouldn't worry because what does a state that never sees snow know about ice hockey? I assured her i was right and she wanted to know how i was so confident since i had never seen them play and even if i did i wouldn't really know how well they were playing (other than the score of course) but i told her i knew because, look what they chose for themselves: the PANTHERS! BIG CATS! have you ever seen a cat on a slippery kitchen floor? let alone on ice???!!!

after putting the image of them skidding around out of control into her head she stopped worrying mj14. it helped to accompany my logic with some cat-sliding-out-of-control sound effects. mj14

i'm blathering again. waiting for my friends to show, they just called shoud be here about half hour.

dex,

Amazing that your friend doesn't hate the Flyers...they did a poll once on ESPN, and they are the most hated team in the NHL! mj14 Seriously though, I love a little good-natured rivalry...this Devils fan used to sit beside me when they played the Flyers, and we had a blast arguing back and forth.

I really miss my Flyers season tickets...there's nothing like seeing hockey live. But now I have to settle for TV. And, of course, my very cool Flyers signature, to go along with the Flyers cursor on my computer, and my Flyers screen saver, and Flyers wallpaper. mj14

Thanks again.
*hugs*
