My names come from a place I can not even find or phathom.

Sandworm was the one that came to me in the
moment i was signing up.

what? Well, Dune, the movie and book. remember the scene
where Paul had his hand in the box and was being tortured.
When he pulled it out he realized it was all illusion. Nothing to
be so upset about.

This is much like Metamood.. spotting when you are getting upset about
sumthing and putting into perspective of what it is.; not a big deal , or
maybe even an illusion.

Then there is the scene where the man of Dune spits toward the
Duke.
Rather than being angry, like the Duke's attendent, the duke sees
that it is an act of honor and respect.

This is seeing beyond our own limits and viewing things from others eyes,
cultures and feelings.

To me, this is what has helped me to move from all the fear, panic, anxiety
and isolation, and into more health..... tho i have much much further to go.

Sandi / from Alexander from the Greek meaning Light shining on man to
save. also seemed a very happy accident (as well) of my choice of name.

Choosing a name, a new nick can be very powerful to bring a person
a greater sense of health and wellbeing.

think of doing that, picking something positive... like I did.

there are so many tools I hope to share with you in chat about
mental health and healing and this is just one.
Hugs all.

Does your name have meaning which helps you heal, or come to awareness
of your struggle and pain or just realize who you are?

thanks
Sandi

Also, i just saw "Beetle Juice" with Michael Keaton.

remember the sandworms outside the house.?

I read every Dune book and even the ones his son continued to write. The thing is I totally forget the whole book a month or so after I read it. Then if I read two pages of it again it all comes back to me. I do remember riding the sand worms.

I do remember those sandworms out side of the house on "Beetle Juice" now that you mention it.

You have come a long way this year and since I have been here at PC. You seem much calmer, even i the face of high anxiety situations. You seems to take others into consideration a lot more then you used to. You are still that sweet caring guy who wants to protect the underdog and help the worlds lost and hurting. That is one of the greatest gifts in the world Sandi. The desire to help, even if ya can't help. That desire and wanting is what makes us as humans that much more special. Some of us have that and some of us don't. You have a special concern for the hurting. Bless you my friend.
