My dog at the end of Nov. died. He had a kidney infection first about 2 weeks before. His name was muffy. That was why I choose it. He ate mighty dog in the pouch.
Makes me wonder........................My daughter got me a new puppy right after.
Just a worryed thought..........................

I know there is so much confusing information out there about the dog food that is tainted. If you google there is tons of information and all of the dog food manufactures websites have information.

The latest I read was that Iams and Eukenuba DRY food had no wheat gluten in them. All wet food from everyone was reported to contain it.

I definitely suggest checking before buying anything. I just thought I would share what I had read but please confirm what I found as the information seems to change as time goes on.

Also, I was only looking at dog food. Cat food alerts were different and you should look into that separately. Some of the articles are not doing that so be careful. The FDA is also providing info on thier site with links.

Hugs to all the dogs and cats. (and bears PET Food Recall - 10 Deaths)

NOW the recall includes some dry foods, some snack foods, and some chews. It also includes dry prescription food for cats. The complete list is at CNN.com/petfoodrecall http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/02/recall.links/

ALSO: they have made the recalls retroactive to NOVEMBER 2006 dog/cat foods.

The latest thing I heard last night was that they believe someone intentionally put stuff into the food. They think someone put in more stuff to increase the protein, and increase the profits. I don't remember what the chemical is called, but it doesn't surprise me that it might have been intentional. This angers me more and more!
