I talked about my road rage last night in chat. It's really been irking me 'cause I act like such an idiot. It was stressed to me how dangerous it is to drive as such and I felt really awful about it. I don't want to hurt someone accidently from my road rage-it's as bad as drinking and driving and then apologizing. Apology can not be accepted-I wouldn't have the right to expect one. So, I got really determined about this whole curbing my road rage thing.
Everyone talks about taking deep breaths-So, I got an idea to do Yoga breathing exercises while I'm driving. I popped a Yoga tape in my car and did deep breathing while driving- I kept having to loosen my hands from the steering wheel because they held on to the wheel so tightly (I've never noticed that before.) I would shake out the anxiety from them and then hold the wheel more gently. Between shaking out the tight muscles and breathing while focusing on the road-I was in was in my own kind of meditation and nothing bothered me-NOTHING! I didn't even mind the red lights. I even let people go ahead of me and I was calm throughout all of my driving today.
It's only my first day but it was leaps and bounds an improvement. Keep your fingers crossed. I may have found the thing that'll keep my road rage at bay. I'll keep you posted. Yogi driving

Good to hear!
I have a tag on the front of my car...Boy Scout USA logo, and a bumper sticker about integrity and honor on the back... and I try to practice a good turn each day while driving (let someone into traffic, don't get angry as someone who does something stupid..etc) it helps me. Even when I'm delayed and the GPS tells me I'm going to be late...I can now say Oh well... getting angry won't make me feel any better.

Way to go! And if that quits being so effective, try something else then. (But I really think that once you realize how bad road rage makes you feel, you won't go back Yogi driving )

Thank you for your encouragement. I'm feeling really good about this. I know I can do it. Lord knows, I've been trying and I do have the will for it.
