In case you missed the Convocation today, go to Fox Sports and look for the "We Are Virginia Tech!" video of poet, Nikki Giovanni. Her poem and what happens after truly embodies the spirit that is Virginia Tech.

Also, Friday has been declared "Hokie Hope," an alumni-led declaration of a national "Orange and Maroon Effect" day.

Basically folks, wear your maroon and orange. Hubby and I sure will be wearing it. Virginia Tech Condolences

My heart aches for the victims and their families, such horror, such sadness. As a parent, I do not think I'd be able to live without my child being here on this earth, I pray for all of those suffering from this tragedy.
I've been crying as I watch the news tonite.
So very, very, very sad. Virginia Tech Condolences

Thank you, Pet. It was very nice of you to post that.

Also, thanks for posting the link to the convocation. I didn't get to see it.

Believe it or not, I own one shirt that's maroon. I'll be sure and wear it on Friday.

My heart breaks for everyone.

Jan

My heart goes out to all those families, most especially the family of the shooter. I cannot imagine what they are going through, losing a son and the knowledge that he caused so much pain...
