I live with my parents, where my 20 year old brother lives. He looks at me funny when I walk out of my room sometimes. Now every time I leave my room I get scared, and will oftentimes go back before I have the chance to run into him. He gives me this douchey smirk. It usually worries me because I can never tell why he does it. It makes me wonder if he saw me doing something embarrassing, which I often do. A few days ago. I walked out of my room and he looked at me and smirked. I asked him why, and he responded with "you know why". I haven't left my room in 3 days. I need him to leave. if he doesn't, i'm going to kill myself. My idiot parents never listen to me, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm getting ready to break. I can't stand that useless piece of garbage that I'm expected to treat with respect. I need help.

Sounds like he is just tormenting you in the tedious and silly sibling way - he is old enough to know better.

Why are you scared and what could he do to you with your parents to protect you?

Perhaps you can leave some prospectuses for colleges or the army - unsubtle hints that at 20 he ought to be making his own way?
Thanks for this!
