For me agitation and irritability can be signs of not getting enough sleep. I can morph into anger or hostility just from sleep deprivation.

I also get extremely irritated when I haven't had enough sleep, but sometimes it just seems to come out of nowhere.

sleep deprivation does for me too cause aggrivation, but also sometimes i think my diet may cause it too, like greasy foods, chocolate and other not so good foods too. i also think it is just the bipolar acting up if something out of my control happens or family disputes or even friend disputes.

I'm the same as thehours. Anger and irritability is part of my mania. I don't care enough about stuff to be angry when I'm depressed.

For me those symptoms are part of my mania. I get really angry, so angry I want to hurt someone and usually end up hurting myself instead.

I have severe agitation and hostility but mine is an added bonus I get every month. I was diagnosed with PMDD about 2 years ago.
