I'm sorry if this post is a bit all over the place but I'm having a fantastic mood swing right now so I'm a bit excitable and distractable!

As I just said, I have mood swings all the time, anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks, and I've always felt my personality depends on my mood. So I did an experiment with it. I took an MBTI personality test in my normal mood and got INTJ, and I just took the same test again now that I'm in a great mood and got ESFP - an exact opposite. It's noticeable how much differently I act! Sometimes I can get too chatty and so I've had people really dislike me for how annoying I become, but oh well, right? When I'm in my normal mood that causes me a lot of anxiety but right now I could really care less.

Are personality changes like this normal with mood swings? Are these normal mood swings, period? I'm not having a much of a problem right now, obviously, I'm feeling better than ever, but when I swing into depressed moods, it's not so great and I'm suicidal pretty much the whole time during those. Thanks for reading!

This is very similar to how I was for a long time before getting with a really good Psych and was diagnosed with BiPolar 2 Rapid Cycling. Have you talked to a Psych or your Pdoc about this ?

I'm unable to get anywhere but a school psychologist because of my family (that's a long story that I'll spare you, just know they won't let me and I'm not financially independent), and as it's summer I'm stuck at home.

maybe you're happy because its summer vacation. you don't have the same schedule and you can relax which the vacation is for. do see your doc although because it could be a problem unaddressed. good luck

No, it's not that. I used to get depressed all summer long and now it varies. One week I'll be so ecstatic that I barely sleep and the next week I'll be so sad I'll try to kill myself. I actually never liked summer break until recently, but my moods have been getting more and more sporadic with every year.
