Seems mine has gone AWOL and I have a presentation due tomorrow.

That I was supposed to have finished over the weekend Tips for Concentration ...

Apart from turning off all internet functions (which I can't quite do because I still need email on for work reasons) ...

What's a good way to focus?

I used to be able to sit down and write something super fast and now I am struggling to put words on the screen ...

Tips?

VERY appreciated ... sigh ...

/need a new brain ASAP

I'm just here to commiserate. My meds for bipolar have the side effects of "foggy thinking", memory loss, but I think the benefits outweigh the side effects. I've had to trim my job down to things that don't require me to function at the top level. Unfortunately, it's been a tradeoff for me to feel somewhat normal. Hope your concentration returns. It sounds like you are a "high functioning" consumer.--Suzy

DSF sit with a cup of coffee or tea and listen to classical music at least 1/2 hour... known to increase test scores on test taken shortly after, so maybe it will help you with this? (((hugs)))

Hi DSF Tips for Concentration ...

My ideas:

>Write some key points that you want to address in your presentation down in point form and then expand upon them.

>Take periodic breaks to refresh your energies.

DSF,

If you have a favorite movie or favorite music that soothes you while playing in the background, use it. It's like Sky's suggestion. It blocks out the noise of other distractions and enables you to concentrate.
