I know this might sound likea dumb question, but I am just curius.

My doctor told me I should take aciclovir (1 400mg pill every 6 hours)

I am at a little town now and i only found the 200mg pills here, so the question is. Is it the same to take 2 200mg pills every 6hours ?

Well yes. All it means is that one pill holds 400mg and the other pill holds 200mg. If you took 2 200mg pills that equates exactly with 1 400mg pill. They just sell the 400mg pills to make it easier than taking more pills.

I have a relative to takes them, and often can't find them in the right dose. She uses the 200 mg pills. As long as it adds up to the dose you should be taking, you'll be fine. If you're going to a pharmacy, ask them to order the 400 mg tablets for you, they probably will. Small town vendors are usually willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers happy.
