hello. So about 2 weeks ago I started abilify for depression w/ psychotic symptoms (voices) and now I have been getting these times where I zone out for about 8 seconds and I don't notice unless I'm watching a video or people tell me. I heard about absence seizures so I was wondering if anyone has the same thing. I'm 14 male and I will respond to comments. Thanks

Also wondering do most people who have them respond to things like loud noises?

Hi somelizard. I would contact your doctor immediately and tell them about these. Since you are 14 you need probably not worry about driving, but please consider whether you are able with the help of a physician when you get driving age. It could be a side affect of med. Looking for support, when you get 5 posts consider the Depression Chat at 9PM EST on Thursday night.

Many people who are actively involved in Psych Central find it helps take them out of their own problems to develop empathy for others. And their problems though still there are more manageable.

There are lots of compassionate people here that can make the load lighter by sharing and caring. Feel free to participate actively at Psych Central. Some people find the forums give them the compassion and empathy they seek. http://forums.psychcentral.com

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.

Yes, Somelizard, please speak with your doctor, or have your parent do so. It's really important. Best to you~
