Hi, this could be a strange one. So bear with me.
I have this psychological issue that wears me down and overwhelms me. I read a book about logical thinking a few years back that really helped me see things from another perspective, and not base decisions on emotions. But what upsets me is other things people say. For example, being around other people who are closed minded. I worked in a factory not long ago and the amount of drama that went on was incredible. People accusing others of saying, or doing something on purpose to annoy said person when in fact they don't see it from the other persons perspective, they just assume they're doing it to annoy them. I can be quick to point this out to people, but even that could annoy them that I said that. I always see 2 sides to every single story. Seeing things in the media and newspapers really, really ******* frustrate me because of how biased they are. I am an avid football (or soccer) fan but I know loads of people who genuinely think they know better than the manager themselves, accusing the manager of picking the wrong team when they lose. Well, in reality, the manager is a professional and has an army of other professional personnel working under him, so I think that he would know better than the people I know personally. I know opinion and freedom of speech is a good thing to have, but narrow mindedness really gets to me as I always look both ways and think heavily and access all areas before I come to a conclusion. I may sound like I'm on a high horse here but a lot of people I know are quite rash minded. I wish I could drop this kind of thinking and realise that I can't change other people and get on with things myself but it's so incredibly tiring because my mind is constantly running of things back and forth of both arguments and just the ******** of the media/facebook/twitter. I know the best thing to do would just to be shut of all those things, but it's really impossible these days with most people talking about it. |

Now here is something you may not see: most other
people are too STUPID to see your INTELLIGENT logic on things--really! True story: woman goes to psychiatrist complaining much like you of irritability etc. Psychiatrist says: "Well, given the people you come across, there's only one thing you can do here; accept your own superiority." (woman was very intelligent like you). Now,you're supposed to give me a big smile! Kindest Regards, BLUEDOVE ![]() |

I can't stand closed minded people. Everything has two sides to it, but unfortunately, most people are sheep who are content to believe every little thing that they're told. It takes a truly brave and intelligent individual to be able to question the things around them and open their mind to new things.
Congratulations OP, you are in a league that less than 2% of humanity is in. You should be proud and empowered by how you think and who you are! Last edited by Anonymous52222; Aug 24, 2015 at 02:12 PM. Reason: typos |

Thank you so much for the replies, it means a lot. It means I'm not completely nuts!
I think I just need to accept people will be like this and say it's a plus point of mine, I always tend to see the good in people if someone is saying bad about them or done something they done. I believe in people, just not when they're closed minded. I'll practice to focus on my own agenda instead of getting frustrated with other peoples thoughts. |
