What I mean, is does anyone feel like a scent?
For example if the smell of poop in a restaurant makes customers
Feel uneasy and not want to dine.

The mainstream media like Hollywood portrays us mentally challenged
As psycho maniacs or vicious scary animals and poison to society..

I just wanted to know that I'm not the only one that feels like a bad or horrible person even if truth is I am not. And it is mainstream media that gives the mentally challenged a bad image.

Hi and Welcome to PC

I don't truly relate to what you're trying to convey? I didn't realize that the totality of mental health discussion revolved around individual mental capacity, but I could have misunderstood your intent?

Hi MTkane, welcome to Psych Central. I get a sense that you are upset by things in the media. Some people skip the media for all the triggering things going on and just self care so they can get in touch with their own situation.

Thank you for joining our community.

Hi! Welcome to PC forums! I don't pay much attention to the media.

However, I have on occasion smelled fecal matter in grocery stores. The same with the smell of a burning cigarette. For me, these smells come on when I am under a lot of stress and they are symptoms I am psychotic.

I'm glad you joined us! xo
