I get stuck on using the same words sometimes, or once I think of one that's close to what I mean but not quite it, I can't get the first one out of my head.

I like using an online thesaurus for getting from one word to another close in meaning but different; this one is pretty good:

Become Synonyms, Become Antonyms | Thesaurus.com
