Well, my deares lifepartner, he has really changed the last few months. From beeng this loveable, wise and trustfull person he now is more like a monster. And the shift in personality has come fast. The changes has appeared during this year. He has suffered from insonia for 20 years, and he is also the most stressfull person i have ever seen. It is sure a Connection between stress and insonia. But my question is:Can it be the stress and insonia that have made him a "monster"? He has lost his way of feeling sympathi, and he is not abel to make right desicions. This has lead to Our Family now losing everything we own. We have no longer a house or anything. I really Wonder what long term insonia and stress do to Our brain. The way of cognetive thinking.... (Sorry my bad English, it is not my Language.)

Violetta,

I am sorry to read about what has happened to you and your family. Insomnia and long-term stress are certainly very bad for a person's health. It is very hard to know what the main problem for your partner is, though.

Will he see a doctor? It sounds like he definitely needs to see a doctor to find out what is wrong.

Welcome to Psych Central, Violetta.

I am so sorry about your partner's anxiety and insomnia. My husband is an extremely anxious person, has severe long-term sleep problems, and refuses to see a doctor because he is fearful and untrusting. His poor mental health has had a very detrimental effect on our marriage.

I hope your partner will see a doctor?

Yes, stress and insomnia can cause that kind of change. Definitely. He needs to eliminate the source of stress.
