I have this lingering suspicion that my mental health was caused by the fact that I was fed formula over being breastfed as an infant. It's not that my mom had a choice, she just couldn't produce milk enough to sustain me so I was formula fed. I know my older brother was breastfed and he turned out super smart, has a steady relationship, and lives on his own with his girlfriend.

I and my kid brother both were formula fed and have had several psychological and emotional issues. He is an alcoholic and who knows what else, and I have MI problems that have plagued me all my life. I also have severe abandonment issues.

Is there a link between mental health and breastfeeding?

My daughter was breast fed
We were organic before it was a fad and co-ops really were a good bargain
She didn't have fast food or soda until 5 1/2 years old and went to a birthday party at McDonald's. ( she didn't like it)

She still she became bipolar.

Ah. Sorry your daughter has bipolar Sidestepper, I know it's no picnic for either of you. Thanks for your proof that breast feeding has no bearing on mental health.
