I went to court in a motion for my spouse. I got there at 1:25pm, checked in at the desk, gave my name. I was told to wait and be patient be seated they were hours behind. They called my spouse upstairs immediately with their social worker, deliberatly did not call me. It was dismissed. I sat there until 4:30pm went upstairs. I was the last one heard. The judge said they showed I was told I did not show and they dismissed it. He asked if I wanted to reschedule and i said i would make it easy on him and dropped my motion. I went downstairs and went off on the clerk, said she did not call me while I sat there as told for 3 hours and 45 minutes, that my case was dismissed. She slapped her head. I said i would never show up in that court room again or set foot in it, it was over. She said it was not over. I said oh yes it is! I banged the guards desk in front of 8 or 9 witnesses. I walked out and slammed the front glass plate door to where the glass almost broke. I was highly upset. I am writing a letter to my spouse, sending it registered, certified mail. The state i work in is deliberatly blocking and intercepting my having any contact with them because they are in crisis. When the 6 months are up for separation and they give me a court date to appear in court, I am not showing up. The heck with it. I am irrate. I was disregarded as a person, and was not given the opportunity for closure with them.

I agree that you need an attorney.

I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Thank you for your support. I am not going back to court. When they call me for the divorce proceedings to appear I am not appearing. They can annul it or dismiss it like they did with me this month. So why bother to show up? I have placed my spouse in Gods hands never to see or hear from them again. I am putting my head on straight, I am moving forward. I am going to move to a different location when an opening happens to a different town/venue. And I am not looking back or remembering their face or name anymore.

Having spent more than my fair share and plenty of other people's share in court I can tell you that this is the way it is in every court in my state as well. If you want to be noticed in court you have to stand up and make sure you are noticed and make sure the judge sees you other wise you are screwed...not fair but that is how it is.
