Help! I am so tired and sick of asking for help. No matter how much I show and tell people I m not right. I m told to man up and figure it out. I had back surgery again a year and half ago. Was on a medication for nerve pain and was taken off it because the doctor told me I wouldn't need it. Since then life has been hell! I have tried going back on it and body won't tolerate it. Have allergic reactions but no one believes me when I try to explain how I feel since coming off the med. No memory, no motivation, scared to death have panic attacks unless I am on different meds that make me emotionless. Been out of work for almost 8 months worked maybe 3 jobs over that time but can't do them and quit after two weeks. My family thinks I m lazy and a loser. Going to a psychiatrist this week again and I m sure I will be told no way that it could be that med. I m at the point that if I can't get help this week. I m just going to end it. I know what everyone says. Things will get better. I just can't keep this up. Sorry to be the loser and complaining about life. Everyone has problems and I m no different. But I need help please!

Find a different specialist, this one is not working for your best interest.

 Of course it could be the medicine! Talk to your pharmacist---they know all about all the meds! I have a gem of one...I am allergic to all medications that are generic. Doctors said that's all in my head, but after speaking (many,many years ago) to a Compounding Pharmacist, he said it surely could be an allergy to the FILLERS they put into generics (as the medicine itself has to be exact, but not the fillers nor the coatings of the pills!) My body hates anything synthetic... I am allergic to petroleum based products as well... I also react to all medications that work in a certain part of the brain! I can only take one category of antibiotics... yep I'm Allergic! So find an MD that will work with you, or a pharmacist that will offer solutions and talk to your MD for you? All you (they) have to do is write Medically Necessary on the script and it has to be a brand name... try them before you give up on all meds.
