I talked with Dad this afternoon. He went back to have more bloodwork done on Monday. Today he went back to the dr for results. His creatine level is 3 which is high even for him with one kidney. He told the dr upfront that he will refuse dialysis. The dr told him it was not that bad yet but Dad stands firm on that so if it does get that bad then he won't make it more than a couple of weeks. But the dr did tell him it could be the antibiotics he has been on for a couple of months. So things are looking a little better for now but he does have to have an ultrasound to make sure nothing else is going on in there.
He is having to run to the bathroom about every 15 minutes at this point. poor guy can't even go to the store without urinating on himself. he gets so embaressed it just makes me sad.

Be, Depends would work if he'll wear them. I don't know if Medicare pays for them though. You could ask. If you get an order from the Dr. it might help.

Hugs,

Jan

I don't know if they'll be paid for either. If not, how about checking with some nursing homes or care facilities to see if you can purchase some from them at their cost. It might save considerable money if you can get a company to go with you on this my dad

Bebop I just asked dads visiting nurse about this. Medicaid will pay for depends but medicare wont. We are having to force dad to use them now with so many accidents he is having. Sorry...
