You took a good first step. You talked to the nurse. Her suggestion to talk to the counselor is your best bet. If you are finding it difficult, you could ask the nurse to tell the counselor for you, and/or write a note that you can give to the counselor to get started on what you need to say. It is scary to start talking about it, but you need to do it so that you can get help. Depression is treatable - you need to tell someone who can make sure that you get treatment and can start to feel better.

You did really good in talking to your school nurse..

Now taking the next step is what you need to do..
But you also took a second step in coming here and reaching out, but please seek the advice of a counsler as soon as you can..
That will be the only way we can offer help, is if you are getting help in 3D also..
so we know how to help you help yourself..

Definatly talk to someone about this, if you don't think your parents will take it seriously, really sit them down and tell then exactly how you feel. No one should have to deal with depression on their own. Alot of us are on some sort of treatment , me I have clinical depression along with GAD and PTSD. I am in therapy, I have been for 8 years now and will the same psychiatrists as well, and i'm on anti-depressants as well.

Definatly go and talk to someone, get that started and see where you can go from there.
