Bowies family was mad (his words) he was a shy child living with a (NPD?) sub zero emotionless mother.
His mother's side had a history of scizophenia. His brother was scizophenic. They wondered if bowie had inherited the 'madness'.

Maybe he had? He certainly thought differently to others.
His frequent changes of persona a form of DID?
Genius can be close to madness.

Genius and madness are so often intertwined. Someone like David Bowie is lucky, or blessed, or something, to be able to use his madness in such profoundly creative, extravagant ways.
Thanks for this!

It's more or less proven that creative people often have relatives especially with bipolar disorder, while they seem mostly inherited positive traits and not so many inhibiting doing. But the step from there to David Bowie is quite big. I will choose to still believe he had some form of extraterrestrial trait that made him what he was.
Thanks for this!
