I do not have tourette's, as far as I know. Although when I was little up to the age of about 13 I would noticeably flair my arms before doing literally anything. But I grew out of that.
When I'm feeling stressed or anxious or just have too much energy I will make a lot of vocal "tics" and am fidgety with my hands. Lately I often will go "BADADADADA" by rolling my tongue super fast and then screaming immediately afterwards. Before that I was making a weird whimpering noise. Sometimes I'll coo like a pigeon...They're really weird habits.
As far as my hands, I'll drum on everything (even myself). A lot of the time I'll flex my fingers and constantly wiggle them.
Nobody has ever expressed a concern to me for doing these things, just have told me i'm weird. They dont occur 24/7 though. If im focused or not feeling too anxious I wont make them as often. But when I do do them, sometimes i actually cannot help it and will be doing it so frequently i annoy myself.

Is this just normal? I don't think it is.

AT one time I had constant anxiety that was about 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 but I never did anything like that. I'm no expert but I'd say anxiety isn't the cause.

Tics are neurological, not psychological. I would work on my anxiety if I were you so you are not that anxious that your coping habits you don't like kick in.

Yes, I think it's possible that it's because of anxiety; if it's not the main cause (that maybe could be neurological, as someone suggested), at least your tics could be triggered by anxiety. My compulsions are actually triggered by anxiety, and I think my tics were, when I had them.
Could you see a psychologist?

Tics get worse when you are stressed. Sometimes that can mean your tics only breaks through during anxiety.

Vocal tic plus body tic is what gives DX of Tourette's. I have body tics, but they are not there all the time. They build up to an strong urge to perform them. I wonder if I inherited it cuz my dad has a vocal tic.

I make a lot of different noises when I'm anxious or have nothing to talk about. I make the same sounds as you and I also do beat box noises. If I was alone in a canyon I would scream my lungs out with every sound I know. I'm overly quiet but I'm like a parrot. I listen and practice imitation really well and for some reason I go back to that when I'm nervous. Most of the time I'm thankful no one is around. Why is that guy screaming? And why is he cawing like a seagull now? It's all just practice for me. I actually caw at seagulls lol

I sort of parrot and make noises too. But for me that is different from the tics.

But maybe there is something that makes me have both?
