I have posted about the poison ivy tree in my back yard, growing over the fence from my neighbor's yard. They are going to remove it, but both the female neighbor and I have had outbreaks from it, and tonight on NBC, there was a news segement saying this is the "worst year in history for poison ivy," and that it is due to global warming and greenhouse gases! Also, that it is now becoming a more virulent strain and will affect people previously immune to it, which was the case, until now, for both me and my female neighbor.
We'll get rid of this somehow, but I'm going to be much more careful from now on, and also follow Freewill's suggestion to get "ivy blocker" for me and my nice neighbors. Patty |

I got it once...the best home remedy I found to release the Histamine was to put affected area under warm water and gradually making it hotter...serious caution needs to be used not burn yourself...as the histamine is released you will fill it getting very ichy...once released you are good for several hours...at lease for it works...I use it on mosquito bits also now...

Not trying to debate what the media said...I highly doubt global warming or greenhouse is the reason for this...that will be a tough association to prove...but I do know how the media likes to tie every thing to these two. Gosh in my area we have gotten more rain...that could be the cause...who knows is my point...

I wondered too about the association with global warming as the cause for this! They had a scientist speaking about it, but who can know for sure!
