i recently agreed to see a psychiatrist again.
only to end up angry and disappointed. on my second visit he introduced himself again and realised he,d seen me before. he said didnt we agree you need no more treatment. and i replied no you asked me if id come back. HOW PROFESSIONAL IS THAT ? i told him how i was feeling and he perscribed me a depressant which puts on excessive weight. IT HAS COME TO THE POINT WHERE I AM TRYING TO SELF DIAGNOSE MYSELF. i dont have straight forward depression and the phycologist said they couldnt help me. (at the time my mind was in overdrive and going excessively fast.) i feel i have no one to turn to anymore which is why i am here. |

((endlesspain)) I'm sorry you're feeling discouraged.
I don't know why the psychologist would say he/she couldn't help you. It is their job to find a way to help. It sounds like you would like to have a different psychiatrist and psychologist. That seems like a good idea. Have you read the psychotherapy forum here? You can see from reading it that there are many wonderful therapists out there wanting to help. |

Hi endlesspain
It sounds like the psychiatrist isn't professional and the psychologist is incompetent. There are others. If certain ones aren't working out, then meet with some others until you find a good fit. I'd feel angry and disappointed too. There are others to turn to. Just keep looking. You'll know when you find a better fit. Rose3 |
