I see people check their appearance on any reflection they encounter, be it a car or a door, ..., etc. But I fail to look at my face in the mirror while washing my hands in a public wash room. Is this normal?

The Skeezyks doesn't know if this is normal. But he certainly avoids looking at himself in a mirror or any other shiny surface... unless it is to marvel at how old & ugly he has become!

I am always concerned about and hate my appearance yet I am one of those who checks every reflective surface. In particular, I check those that reflect a full body image. I don't know why I do this as it usually only reinforces my idea that I look like crap. It is a compulsion.

I tend to ignore my own reflection. It decreases stupid self-criticism. I do not like mirrors.

For me, I'm afraid of someone else sees me checking myself. I'm always afraid of judgment.

i can't look at myself, at all. (i hate my body so much)

now it's just a built in command- see a mirror and get as far away as possible from it

i can't even look at baby pictures of me, nothing like that

all torn up now

I can go both ways. Avoid for fear and disgust and check often for reassurance and insecurity
