On the west coast we are experiencing heat over the century mark! That's why I'm still up at the 'ol keyboard. Can't sleep. Too darn hot. It's 11PM and still 80 degrees. Very unusual for these parts.

It's only supposed to rain here after all! West Coast Heat

I know huh? The record heat is reaching 3 digits in the day, and stays really hot even at night, all the way over as far as where I live in Utah. Plus we have wild fires all over the place, so there is too much smoke in the air,and we're supposed to stay inside out of the heat, and the smoke! They have actually had people die from being out in the heat too long!
It sucks huh? It's too damn hot!West Coast Heat

Hey, thanks for the cool winds!

It cooled down to 80 today, but should get back down in the 50's tonight. That's definitely more like it!!

I agree, Justice. I can't stand the heat either!! I'm actually allergic to the sun, so if I'm out in it for more than an hour, I get all splotchy. Definitely not attractive.... West Coast Heat

Okie...I can't handle the heat either, and it gets stifling here in WV...When it gets up in the mid 90's with high humidity, I can't go outside. Just going from house to car is enough to make me feel ill! The heat here is usually accompanied by very high humidity which bothers me even more!
I just learned this spring that taking antidepressants contributes to heat intolerance, and I never realized this before but during the 15 or so years I've been on this medication, my intolerance of heat has increased yearly. Now i'm breaking the 40 mg. tabs in half (for two months now) and hope to go off the medication entirely eventually. I should add that I am feeling no ill effects by decreasing the medication. I truly feel this is why I'm so heat intolerant!

I am allergic to the sun and to the heat. I saw a dermatologist yesterday and he told me to wear nothing less than SPF 50. I didn't even know they made it that high! I found some at WalMart. Maybe it would help all of you.

Hugs,

Jan

Thats one of the reasons I'm trying to get back to San Diego, Best Weather,YEAR ROUND!! Nice ocean Breeze! I wish I had that now, cause I'm not supposed to be exposed to the direct sunlight either, or it makes me sick. So the heat is actually making me sicker, and the smoke is starting to affect my lungs. I've had 2 asthma attacks in the last week! One of them was last night when I was trying to go to sleep!West Coast Heat

Hi Justice,
Asthma is awful! I had it pretty bad when I was a kid going to the emergency rooms for shots, etc. I'm sure you know the drill.

I'm sure the smoke is aggravating your lungs. I do hope you can get away from it soon!
Take care,
Okie
