Just wondering...are there certain things to look for in a disability lawyer for a mental health claim that could indicate whether they are any good or a sleazy one to stay away from? Any cautionary tales?

The payment cut they receive is determined by statutes so you don't need to worry about getting ripped off. Find an attorney that specializes in SSDI and that you have a good rapport with. Also, find one that isn't too busy to work on your case and has good support staff.
I'm disabled now but was an attorney - most lawyers are not "sleazy." That is a stigma. Good luck. |
