I've noticed some posts recently where people are discouraged by the lack or responses they get.

I always feel bad when I read that and just wanted to say that I have been switching back and forth between my "favorite forums" and all forums and therefore don't read nearly as much anymore.

So if I haven't responded to you, it's not because I don't care, it's because I don't see. Viewing Favorite Forums

I too feel bad when I see this.

I've spent a lot of time concentrating on work this month...I wasn't staying focuses at work and was responding when I should be working. So my time spent here has slowed some...also, I'm being careful with anything marked with the trigger icon...at this time I'm not sure it would be healthy for me.

Sometimes...I just get so overwhelmed with the amount of new posts...I simply have them marked all read as it just puts me on overload.

I think there are a lot of reasons out there...I don't think any of you who feel ignored should worry too much about it...I know that it is hard...It is hard both ways though...

I don't read all forums anymore either. I do try to select those threads which have no replies to read first though.

It is a good thing to know/remember that a well-read thread might still only receive 10% replies (1 in ten readers will reply.) AND that's on a well-accepted/known topic. Something more obscure might get more reads but fewer people have anything to say on the topic.

Also, I think it's good to know/remember that fewer people are here on weekends...or maybe they're here but not posting? At least it has always seemed that way to me.

I think if you go a week without the replies you'd like...or no one has given you the answer you are looking for, "bump" it back up for another look.

I agree with everybody here--I get overwhelmed by the sheer number of new threads each day. There is no way to respond to all of them. I do try to go to the same ones each day.

I'd just like to add that I would rather give some good replies to a few threads than try to get to all of them.

I only visit two or three forums, and I don't read every new post. So I agree that new members ought to take limited number of replies personally.
