i've cried so much the past two days and now you've gone and done it again...........you have NO idea how much this helps me, emotionally and financially.....i don't have many IRL friends. i have lived here a year and met very few people that i can relate to.........so, you PCers are really holding me up.

i had two 1950 chairs on "layaway".....means that the shop owner holds them til i have money........i went by and explained to him the situation and he just walked over and got the chairs and put them in my truck and hugged me and i burst out bawling. then he turned around and got an antique oil derrick that had been made into a garden fountain (i had admired it) and put it in the truck. by then i was sobbing......he told to quit crying, it was bad for business!!!

so, i'm trying not to cry too much here on PC......it may be bad for business!!!! love you all.......everyone that sends me a message, posts in the threads, hugs, all of it. THANK YOU...........

I'm so sorry you've had to face this situation, but I'm also touched that so many people here do care. I hope we can help make this awful situation a little better.

And that shop owner sounds like he has a great heart too.

You can cry all you want here, though-- it's actually not so bad for business!

Oh dear Pat! I'm so so sorry this happened to you. I hope with all the responses here and kind people around that your view of humanity is not tainted.

That man at the shop that let you get your chairs was sure sweet. I bet he could sense your good nature-- I know I can!

I just can't believe that with your great wit and sense of humor and caring and intelligence...well, I could go on and on...that you don't have a TON of friends IRL! That just seems impossible to me! What I can tell you, is that if we lived in the same community, we would be VERY close friends IRL!!

okiedokie.....wish you did live here. i'm still working on Wants, but she got a job where she lives.

i tend to isolate myself here. i have two gay friends, my mechanic/retired military officer with a fantastic sense of humour, my "good" neighbors, (they don't fight dogs or cut trees down on "my" property)the priest at the Catholic church in front of me, the two maintenance men there. i guess that is it. no, wait, a great guy that i helped pick out his Christmas presents at Wal-Mart.......i work a lot and don't see many "public" people. just the patients and their caregivers...

after listing them, i see i have more than i thought i did!!!!!

a shout out for all who PMed me last night and all who posted with support. it means the world to me..........

the "friend" showed up at the end of the long driveway about 10:30 last night. i was in the house, here, and just felt like i should go outside. i saw his profile and slipped behind some bushes (imagine me, i wished for black paint and black clothes) and eased around behind the rectory and saw that it was him for sure.

i called the cops and they came, but didn't find him. i'm feeling a bit "stalked" now. they patrolled all night and flashed a spotlight on the house to let me know they were here..........

3. it worries me that he's around here when he surely knows that i've filed a police report. i would think that he might have seen them last night.

this is the last thing that i would have thought he would do. he's always been a steady person and i would have trusted him with my life. i've decided that he's using. that's why he never had much money and he also got very thin.

i have a headache from all of this. think i'll lie down under the AC and try to forget it for awhile.
