Well,

I saw this add on TV for a free Laptop if you switched internet provider to Orange. So I called AOL, my current provider and they say if i stay with them they will give me a laptop (free)! I cant beleive it. Of course ive agreed to stay with AOL, less hassle and I get the lap top in September! I can believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop free laptop

That's good, ATG free laptop

I think it's also better that you can stay with AOL too, because isn't Orange broadband free or cheaper than others? I'm thinking of Carphone Warehouse's TalkTalk, they offered free broadband but when I looked it up online it got bad reviews: not working, bad connection, long set-up time (months long). Not saying Orange is like that, but it might be. At least through talking to AOL you get a free laptop, hope it's a good one free laptop

my brother was saying to me today that he was going to switch to Orange to get the free laptop... i told him to call AOL, who he has been with for at least 2 years... and see what they say... hopefully he can get a free laptop with them too...

i wonder what the terms are? do you have to sign up with them for like 2 years or more...? how do they make their money back? although hell, they are making 1000$$ already i am sure.... still a good deal if you can get it....

that's awesome. AOL tries hard to make people not leave them lol so it's cool that they're doing something like that.

I know, Im so pleased. I had to agree to stay with AOL for a further 12 months but thats nothing as I would be paying a provider anyway. The orange package was £14.99 a month and my AOL is £16.99 a month. I know Im paying £2 extra but it saved the hassle of switching and it means i stay with AOL who seem OK to me and ive never had any problems. AOL said the lap top they are giving me is a higher spec than the orange one.

In my country an offer like that would have come with a serious catch or hidden "trap".

I am happy for you!! I would so love a laptop!

I dont know if its UK only. It may well be becasue Orange have a huge ad campaigne over here offering freelap tops if you take out their broadband. I would imagine people are leaving there service providers in droves to get it.

As for a catch, i hope there isnt one. I will let you all know as soon as I receive the lap top and what, if any, were the traps. Keep your fingers crossed.

From - what I have read on this matter - the catch is a "2 year contract" - kind a like when you get a cell phone you have to sign on for two years of service at a time.... so that's not bad for a free laptop.
