My fiance, as he has every summer, has bunkered down into his annual depression because his winter job is over for the season and he doesn't feel employable for anything else (no college degree - very self-conscious about it). He's been home for about a month and a half now and leaves the house less and less. He had intereviewed for a job a few weeks ago, but hadn't heard anything back, and I was really dreading what the rest of my summer would be like and how it would affect our relationship. Some of you may remember that I really went almost bizerk with worry last summer, and had to drag him to mental health clinics, therapist appointments, medication, etc.

BUT!

He got a call yesterday being offered the job! It's just a retail job, but it's a really good one for him, and he is seeing a career counselor to work on his long-term plan. This is SUCH a relief! He will be out of the house, with a STRUCTURE Sundays thru Thursdays! I feel like I've had a near-death experience and survived!

We are ALL going to be a-ok!

That's great news, LMo! I was wondering how he was doing.
