I was living with and caring for my dad for many years. He passed away 7 months ago and I moved into a house as a roommate share. The lady who is the landlord is super nice, and she has a daughter who was living here before I moved in. She actually bought the house for her daughter. This girl moved out of state to be with her boyfriend. Two months ago, I was told she would be moving back in but then she changed her mind.
![]() Now, I hear she is moving in again. She's 20 years old( I am 55). I don't know how this situation is going to work. From what I hear about her, she is a little flighty, so she might not even stay very long. Thing is, I can't object to having her as a roommate, since technically she was living here first. I also only pay to rent one room and the landlord has a say about who takes the other bedroom. I did specify that whoever moves in here needs to like dogs. Thankfully, she does. I am also having a lot of issues with my migraines again so that does not help. These changes are causing a lot of anxiety. I am trying not to obsess over it, but it's hard. I am also waiting on my disability decision, and that is driving me nuts! Thanks for reading.

I can understand your being full of anxiety. You just need to remain as calm as possible and try to keep an open mind. Maybe she will turn out to be very pleasant and you will make a new friend.

Thanks, I am trying to keep an open mind. My landlord did tell me to lock my bedroom door when I'm going to be out, since she might want to "borrow" my laptop. Looks like I'll be hiding my wallet too...sigh.
