When I purchased my HP laptop just over 2 years ago, I purchased the 3 year extended service plan. I had no idea how much value that would actually be. With so much use, all the letters on the keys were wearing off & so was the paint on the mouse pad. They had told me at the beginning that I could take it in every years & get a new battery but had no idea that is would cover a whole new keypad & new mouse.

It looks like new & even feels like new. Only one thing bit me was that when I got it back, I couldn't connect to the internet. I reset the cable modem & the computer, thinking it couldn't get the ISP. That was always the simple reason why I couldn't connect all the previous times that I called tech support.....& I would feel really stupid because it was such a simple fix. This time, I even went in & re set up my internet connection, so when I continually couldn't connect, I was really getting frustrated. I connected my other computer I had been using & the internet was working, so I knew it was my laptop.

I'm really impressed with the Time Warner tech support. With all the information I gave him, he was able to point me directly to the one little setting that they had changed while they were working on my PC so that they could do their connection to the internet. They have so much patience while I was trying to find where they were pointing me to.

I'm all back to normal now & with a 2 year old laptop that is just as good as new....as a matter of fact, most of it is new. I really appreciate my HP after poking around on the old gateway laptop I used to have (gave it to my husband) & the desktop & had to change over to when the display went out on the Gateway. Not having my HP for a month really has given me an appreciation for it.

I've never had a laptop, but I will have to keep that in mind. Congrats on your new (almost) HP.
