Please could we have the Games forum put back next to the Social Chat forum, it seems to make more sense to put it next to it's sister forum rather than right down at the bottom.

All the Games were originally in the Social Chat Forum, I am simply requesting that the Games forum be put back next to the Social Chat Forum. It's not up to you Mellors unless you are DocJohn in disguise??? __________________ Pegasus Got a quick question related to mental health or a treatment? IMO, social, creative corner, and sanity score are all distractions
I guess laying out a website and trying to adjust it as it grows is tougher than it looks? But, yeah, it's like the games are a step child here __________________ |

Hi Pegasus,
You need to send a pm to Doc John and tell him your thoughts on this. Hugs, Jan __________________ I still dream and I still hope, therefore I can take what comes today. I thought like Sky. If they're going to put games in distractions, then shouldn't social and creative go there too. If they don't, then why does games? It was kinda hard to find it again. It's getting to be a game finding the forum.

While game playing is a distraction, it just seems so isolated down there.

I have sent DocJohn a PM requesting that it be put back with it's sister-forum. Here's hoping! __________________ Pegasus Got a quick question related to mental health or a treatment? I'm happy to move Social and Creative down the list, but I'm reluctant to move Games back up.
General is a "catch-all" category for things that don't quite fit in another category. Distractions is fairly self-explanatory, for just more everyday kinds of living things. Is the objection to where it resides on the list, its proximity to social (remember, it was moved out of social where I still think it fits best as a sub-forum), or unhappiness with the name of the category its in, Distractions? All the forums can't be "first" in the list. I have to take into account people finding the actual support forums as easily as possible, the main mission of this community.... I hope that's understandable? DocJohn __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

Dear DocJohn,
Well, I can't speak for everyone but it is the fact that it has been put right at the bottom of the forum. To me- the Games are about 'support', supporting each other in a healthy way. I don't view it as just a distraction, many of the interactions there make you think about mental health issues too. Also in view of the fact that it is so popular and helps the more nervous members of the community to join in, I would have liked to have seen it higher up the list. __________________ Pegasus Got a quick question related to mental health or a treatment? And, as I said imo the social and creative corner forums are also distractions and maybe should all be together. (Of course it's a judgment call, as some people may call sex, and spirituality distractions ) __________________ |

I can understand all points of view.
What about moving the entire "Distraction" forum up a bit instead? __________________ Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long. |

I use the Favorites view feature on this site. There are many forums I don't use, so I don't have them on my view. That way, the forums I do use, are more easily accessable because I don't have to scroll through a bunch to find the ones I want.
Just a suggestion that has been helpful for me. __________________ |

me too.
Funny the word games IMHO were a way to express yourself with one word. You got out what you needed to say and felt better, Questions and war was a way we kept track of each other. I am sorry it was more than a distraction. SOmetimes it kept me sane. It was a way to express yourself with out a huge post. It really is like a message board. That gave support in so many ways. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. Just my thoughts. Muffy |

I agree Muffy.
The games are not always games to me but way to release pent up emotion that builds up for whatever reason. I have been able to express many things via the games. __________________ Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long. |
