And Fema just drove away with the trailer. Two years to the day and i have a front lawn again. It feels good to see that trailer go.

Wow, the complete new start on a new life. Glad you were one of the lucky people who could rebuild where your original home was. I can't imagine going through all the damage that occured there. I thought out Northridge earthquake was horrible with all the damage that was done there, but I saw a movie at the Denver Museum about the Hurricane. It made me realize just how much damage it caused & how horrible of a trauma it was for all the people involved (along with the pets).

Glad you are getting this fresh start.....my prayers are still with you for your future,
Debbie

Finally some good news about the situation down there! All we hear about is how badly things are going for the folks who have suffered through Katrina.

Here's to a new start! 8:02pm

Best wishes!

Hi AlteredState, i'm sorry thats all you hear about.

I hope this makes you feel a little better. I already pulled the shovel out the shed and plan on starting to dig up the oil soaked earth around my house tomorrow. I got numbers for three different companies to call tomorrow, so i can find a truck load of fresh mississippi mud to fill it up again. I'm looking forward to growing some fresh okra, creole tomatoes and bell peppers again. And soft green grass.

I dont know whatever got into me to paint those steps that bright lime green. I guess it was just not having any color around, so i went crazy with it.

I have no idea if they liked it or not, i couldnt understand a word they said. They didnt speak english.
