Folks, as people link more and more to videos online and embed YouTube code in posts, we need to ask you to *please* be sensitive to the fact many members access our community on dial-up only.

So, for future reference, please abide by the following:

- Identify in your subject line that your post includes a video with the word "Video:" in front of the subject.
- Place a summary or some text BEFORE the video itself that describes what the video is about. No linking to videos or embedding videos without this summary will be allowed. People want to know what it is they're clicking on before they click on it, and sometimes people don't make that clear in the subject line.

Thank you,
DocJohn

THANK YOU! New: Linking to Videos -- Guidelines for the continued reminder that a large number of this community and Internet in general are still on dial-up. it is easy to forget the limitations of dial up once one moves on to broadband...yet remember we shall! sensitivity can certainly help in this situation.

Thank you for requiring a notice in the subject line. back on dial-up the embedded flash and videos in posts would lock up the dial-up in download and sometimes require entire reboot and dialing back in.....not always as quick or easy as many think.

dial-up isn't the underdog...it is a mainstay of connection to the webby...let's help keep it that way so more can access all this site has to offer. New: Linking to Videos -- Guidelines
