Do you ever have a premonition or sense that you are going to be abandoned, or that something bad will happen?

Do you ever "act out" so that your premonition becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy?

Or ... are you abandoned just as you started to open up to someone?

Take care,
Fuzzy

Hi (((((((Fuzzy))))))): Very interesting post.

I really believe that 'energy', (including thought, etc.), has a major impact on events, in both a positive and negative way.

I have had premonitions that have turned out to be very accurate, and then others that were far less so.

The ones that would be considered 'bad' were about events that had already (just) occurred, but about which I did not yet have confirmation.

The ones about things that might occur in the future turned out to be far less accurate, and were a lot more likely to cause me anxiety for what turned out to be nothing.

XOXO Sweet Bear...

(((((((((((Fuzzy))))))))))))

This is so true with me......I just wish I listened to my gut instinct instead of my heart. A premonition?

Hi, Fuzzy

I don't know if I have had a premonition ( not sure exactly what it means) though think it means like a feeling. I guess I have had fear or worry of abandonment alot. Or feeling like it was going to come. Most times I was wrong though over time I have seen in advance some things I feel lead up to it.

If I have ever "acted out" I would have to be honest and say yes. I have started to get to know people, then feel that they are not good people for me and that more than likely they would leave me or not be there for me and ended the start of what I have felt to be a future result of being abandoned by them. I guess maybe it is my "Trust issues" that at times prevent me from seeking new friends.

I don't know if I answered the questions right, just thought I would share what the issue means to me. Thanks -

Best Wishes-
~KRIS~

I was abandoned in a big way by my ex-husband. He gave no warning. I did have a 'premonition' a few days earlier while he was on a business trip (he broke the news the morning after he got home) but I guess I had probably felt him pulling away.

I don't fear abandonment anymore, though. I took that opportunity to do some major soul-searching and to build up my independence. I took a few long trips by myself, did the Napa Valley spa thing, bought a house and managed some major renovations, and just learned to lean on myself in times of need. As much as I love my fiance and would be crushed if he left me, I know that abandonment is NOT the worst thing that can happen.

And hey, if nothing else, this board will always be here, right?

What are you worried about Fuzz? I know the crap you put up with with your parental situation, but is there anything going on right now? Want to PM or meet in Chat? I'm going camping tonight but will be back on Saturday (I WILL be back! Really!)

We are ALL going to be a-ok!

Yup! I used to have generalized premonitions that would come true when I was a teenager and later after I divorced my first husband. But when the depression and anxiety set it, it all went out the door. A premonition?

Can't say as I ever "acted out" on the premonitions. I know that I've ignored them and then was sorry for it.

I have senses that I will be abandoned - which always does happen. It's kind of like waiting for the shoe to drop. I don't act it out so that it does happen, more like the waiting game.

I don't open up to anyone anymore.

I agree with Peanut... regarding the energy. My visions of events to come are always accurate when it is for someone else... which goes to show that I do utilize "self fulfilling prophecy" regarding myself, because the negative occurs for myself.

I don't think about, or dread much of it, so it is subconscious... use of energy. This is all pretty deep thinking and I'm trying a simple explanation...
<font color=purple>
PS I have also found that when I eat vegetarian (no meat) my insights and visions are more frequently and even more accurate. Go figure.

It has been shown, very recently, in quantum physics, that even the smallest of the tiniest element in our cells, responds to wishes from the brain! That truly means we make our own selves well, ill, etc. Kinda scary, eh?

I've read a book: Your body believes every word you say. Talk about interesting!

To show another item along this line, scientists have proven that regarding those who receive even a smile as acceptance of a good deed, their serotonin rises. Then, they found that the person who smiles (or does the good deed) THEIR serotonin rises. AND to further the good that can be done: EVERYONE who witnesses the good deed, act of kindness, THEIR serotonin rises also.

So it's a good thing to be here, and receive the kindnesses of others on this site. A premonition?
