Is there any person here who honestly feels they are always completely right about other online people? I am often happy to be proved wrong if my feelings towards some were less than positive.

I think that as with 3D relationships, it takes a fair amount of time and interaction with someone to determine their true nature. People often put on a false front at the beginning when they're trying to make themselves look good, but eventually the truth will out.

That said, although I have occasionally been proved wrong, my first impressions of online people tend to be correct. :-\

I can honestly say that I don't believe that anyone (including me) is every completely right about anything let alone about anyone. They may believe that they are ALWAYS right, but in fact, I think it is impossible to be complelely right about anything.

That being said, I think we can have gut feelings & many people do get those feelings that tell us about what someone seems to be like to us, but it's a 50/50 chance that the gut feeling will either be right or wrong. I am learning to listen to my gut feelings more & more because I am finding that the % of them being right is much higher that initially thought.....but the bottom line is that we can't be 100% right about anyone.....it seems that there is always something new around the corner that we weren't seeing at first look.

In other words, our knowledge of a person (online or 3D life) is constantly growing & changing as time goes on. It is important to stay flexable & openminded so as to not judge immediately & take time for out thoughts to settle into what we truely believe.

Just my thoughts on getting to know people,
Debbie

I don't worry about being right. I have my thoughts and feelings about things and my thoughts and feelings are just my thoughts and my feelings.

Can you say more about what you mean?

When I posted on another board (the same year I first came here) I used to feel a couple of people were really negative and "out to get me" but I later realized that probably wasn't so. It was more about me than about them. Misunderstandings on line are more frequent than is ideal....

I hate it when people think I'm bad when I'm not ...........it hurts.
