So, I think I'm having another episode of depression, it seems like it's coming back. But maybe it's something different. I had a few bad mood swings. It doesn't have to be a big thing to sendme into an episode of crying in the bathroom for like 20 minutes thinking how much of a horrible person I am. Seriously, it could be a simple mistake. I don't know what's wrong with me. It could be stress (I have finals coming up). Seriously, I don't know if this is related to bipolar disorder or depression or what. Any ideas???

Sorry to hear that you are going through a rough time.
![]() I would be cautious in trying to self-diagnose, and see a professional about your concerns. Depression alone can cause crying episodes, it does not necessarily indicate Bipolar Disorder. Can you talk to a psychiatrist, a therapist or even a GP? It could very well be school-related stress and if you are in high school, then there are also hormonal mood swings to think about as well. |

I agree with scaredandconfused on this. There are so many possible variables involved that it would be better not to self-diagnose but to receive a diagnosis and proper care if needed from a trained professional. Best wishes.

It could be depression, but only a professional would know for sure.
