...when my worst nightmare was the thought that my mother/abuser/monster would get back together with her ex-husband, my ex-stepfather/molester/monster.

As unbelievable as it is, unfathomably unbelievable as it is, it has come true.

Cthulhu is real.

All this time, I have vowed to always take the high road, and that's what I've done. I've kept their secrets since it was too late to do anything about it legally and most people don't believe me anyway. She's too good at being normal around all the right people. If I spoke out, it would just make me look crazy. So I pushed her out my life and I went on with mine. I have a good support system. A loving husband, a fiercely loyal son, a huge younger brother who I'm very close with. My pdoc is a professor at OU.

I have to think this through some more, but I see no choice but to tell my brothers. Our ex-stepmonster was horrible to them.

I'm not looking for answers here. I know there are none. Some things just fall under the heading of 'stuff happens'. Life isn't fair. We do what we can to make the best of it. I always have, and am glad to say, for the most part, I've succeeded quite well.

I'm sorry you've had these experiences. It sounds like you've progressed and built a strong, loving support system. Good luck telling your brothers. I hope everything goes well.

So I've decided some research is in order before I tell my brothers. I have definitive proof, but there are still some unanswered questions that luckily have answers in the public record.
