Having art inside (muse) is one thing. Creating it is another. But I almost never got to share my art publicly. I almost never showed it to friends.
I ponder why I have such a low passion for creating art even though I really want to. I wonder if it's because I need other people to compliment and encourage me.
I have fear of emotional reactions - intense emotions are scary. I have suspects that someone will steal credit for my art, although I don't think it's really an issue since art is about creating and sharing.

I have lots of art stacked in my room which I almost never got to show publicly. Any help?

what kind of music is it? People love art and music. Muse is a gift!
I want to encourage you, and for sure would like to hear your music...
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the support. I'll see if going tomorrow to the park will help with the muse, as its fading in and out, and it's not that strong at home right now. I feel like creating remakes of nostalgic video game soundtracks.
As for sharing, I'd love to, but I have concerns about linking a public profile with a mental health profile.

Is there a way that you can post it anonymously so you don't have to blow your cover, so to speak.?

I feel the same way about my poems. They are dark, especially since my dad died in May. I feel like most people would be repulsed by them. I haven't written lately. I feel like I should. There is lots in me to be written about. Maybe people like us can encourage each other.

I'm kind of the same way. I can create dark art and music due to my inner feelings, too.
I think it could be useful for a protagonist+antagonist storyline.

We are our worst critics. We fear people not accepting our creativity. By extension, what we really fear is unacceptance of ourselves. Hence, many people who create do so while keeping their work private where no one can criticize it. It takes a great leap to present and show our work to others, and even greater leap to feel it worthy of sale. You are not alone.

I say take that leap and try to find a way to share your art. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised at the good reviews.
Thanks for this!

I agree with justafriend. I hope, at some time, you'll feel confident to share the results of your talent. Sending big hugs.

I think it would help you to remember that no artist of any medium who is selling their work and making a career out of it gets to where they are without heaps of criticism. Go check out any even low-key creator/musician on youtube, or a director who just got his first movie nominated for some award, or an artist who got a piece in a galary.. They will all have some people somewhere saying something bad about the work/the artist. don't be afraid of that. It means youve made it far enough for people to give you the time of day.

I think the key to pushing on in these situations is to know what your making is the honest extension of you, and to be your own fan. Please just try to be your own fan of your work. If someone talked smack about my favorite band I could care less, because I love them, and that persons opinion doesn't change that I love them. So love yourself, and be a fan of yourself, and you wont turn away from yourself if someone says something bad, just like you wouldnt turn from you favorite band just because others dont like them.
