last night about 9pm daughter fell funny and landed on her arm and hand when she sat up he hand swelled quickly, i was realy worried coz she had a ring on her finger, her three fingers all were pointing diferant ways

but luckly only one was broken, we got back about 1.30am after seeing several diferant ppl, and one doctor giving daughter injection and then putting her finger back in a correct postion

Your daughter must have taken quite a hard fall to do that much damage to her hand. I hope it heals well. That has to be painful.....pray she is doing better.

just got back from fracture clinic, to start we were sent to wrong department the doc said we should of been sent to the hand clinic, so he went of to speak to them, shes got to have op on finger because if she doesnt she wont have any movement in finger, if she does have op she will need work to gain good movement

the bone is broke right on the join for the knuckle so it wont stay in place and is throwing the joint out

we have to stay home and wait to see if there is a bed available first so we arnt hanging around lucky we are close by

I'm so sorry to hear that she needs surgery. Let's hope it's done quickly and correctly and she's off to healing very soon!

daughter went to the hand clinic last wed shes been told that her bone has collapsed, shes been given to options of what to do
she can have the bones fused so the finger will not bend on the middle joint and be pain free she has had a splint put on her arm up to her finger to cut movement and she goes back this weds for pysio
or she can have a replacement joint but will have to have a few of these over the years because of her age and will probally still have pain
i have a couple links to show what her options are

she has to go back to the clinic on wed to get finger moving

Thanks for the update! My stepmother had all the finger joints fused (at first joint though) and I think reconstruction of the thumb for arthritis. It was much better not seeing her in all that pain and I don't recall she had trouble doing much except maybe picking up pins (she did a lot of sewing).
