I feel a little guilty, which is unusual for me because I'm not easily guilted by others (or myself) but in the midst of so much pain both in the forums and in my own journey I have an incredible blessing to share.
I was offered a contract by a Christian Publishing company to publish my book. I am SO excited!!!
I wrote my story over the last 9 months, and though it is ever changing, as any journey will, I am pleased that a reputable publisher has accepted my manuscript.
I can't even explain exactly what this means to me; but this has always been a dream of mine--and to be able to share my story with others is something I feel called to do.
Keep me in your prayers and also the editor I will be working with.
Thanks for your support and friendship,
Blessings,
Jon

Jon, I had a book published when I was 20 or 21. I cannot tell you how exciting it was, not only finding out their willingness to do it, but the entire process of having the book edited and then see it as a real "touchable thing".
Your new journey has just began. I have tears of joy in my eyes for you!
Publishing a book is almost like having a baby. This is a gift from up above to you. One day, when you are no longer here, the world will have your footprint .... I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD, HAPPY, SCARE, EXCITED .... Live this experience to the fullest.

I Love the fact that this is happening to you, such a beatifull and deserving person.

Yes, Thank you so much! It is like having a baby (or so I hear); I'm just a little protective of it.
I will DEFINITELY post when/where this will be available.
Thank you.
Jon
PS. THe part about "leaving a footprint" I totally have thought along those lines for some time. I have no children, and am getting divorced, and may/may not re-marry in the future...I just don't know, but I NEEDED to share my story, and my heart with the world.

It is MY STORY. It's a compilation of my journaling off and on through the years interspersed with love letters, and the story of my upbringing and how I came to be the person I am today. There's so much more, but I guess you'll have to wait and see.

Congrats, Jon! That is indeed an awesome accomplishment.

I also will be glad to know where I may get a copy.

Be prepare for maternity then!

1-The reading and reviewing of the book feel like the nine months of pregnancy.
2- The editing is LABOR PAINS! specially if you don't like how they want to edit it (this kind of labor pain was the worse I've ever had and I've had three kids!)
3- And the birth is when you get to touch the first actual copy of the book. Then all the waiting and the labor pains fade away and you feel like it was all worth it.

congrats and enjoy the journey.

Jon congratulations.

Don't feel guilty... enjoy being proud of this accomplishment, and also enjoy the excitement of the process as much as your are able. Even what might be frustrating parts of the process will overall be something very positive and fun for you to include in your arsenal of positive life experiences.
