I dont care if the difference between ages with us is miles long, i think hes still amazing and sort of timeless. |

I hope he still has a voice. That's always a potential problem with older singers.
I took my parents to see Frank Sinatra when he was about 75 and I regretted spending the money, at least for my ticket. My parents dated to Frank Sinatra and they heard what they heard when they were in their teens. *I* heard a drunk 75-year-old (highball glass full of Scotch never out of his hand) who couldn't sing worth crap and pretty much just talked lyrics to a beat, and I would have been happier at home with CDs from his heyday. Someday my kid probably will be saying the same thing about Duran Duran when I drag him to a concert when they're 60. ![]() I hope you enjoy it, but I hope you aren't disappointed, too. Candy |

candy,
Well, its possible, and i think entirely likely that he wont sound much like he did when he was young. Saw him on the local news the other night, and he definetly still has a voice, albeit its much more mature than it was when he was in his heartthrob heyday. But i still liked it. And the songs are immensely fun to sing. have you heard anything from the album Rock Swings? he did it a couple of years ago, and its all rock and roll songs redid in swing music style. i LOVED it. |
