Okay...I have no where to go on the weekdays. I could come home but my mom drives me crazy. Its always something with her. Yes, I know I need to move out but I just don't have the money. Anyways. Here where I live there are a couple of coffee cafes and I was wondering do you think it would be bad to go there and sit and read or do homework. Do any of you have any ideas? As I said I know I need to move out but I don't have the money so does anyone have any ideas other than that.

i used to spend a lot of time in scenic parks... i would sit in the van and listen to music and watch a prairie dog town, or the clouds roll by, write, think, read...

I viewed it as a wonderful time i could enjoy while everyone else was working...

More and more companies are putting computers in their stores, you could go to one of them to do your studies. I actually found a Burger King near me that had computers setup at the booths...technology strikes again.

I'd do libraries (school?) and student unions. Libraries often have internet so you could do online stuff (like here :-) as well as school stuff.

Thanks for the replies but I don't really care for libraries and there aren't any computers in the companies such as Burger King. And the park isn't safe at all. What do you think of the coffee cafe idea I had?

sorry maymie... i'm terrible at getting peoples' point sometimes... why do you think it'd be wrong?

in my town most cafes would expect you to spend money to spend much time there.. but it's not the same everywhere... when i was in santa fe the cafe owners would invite artists in to doodle and stuff and didn't expect you to buy anything... but then, it's an artist town...

if its boredom.. then maybe try volunteer work.. that might help.. but if your looking for a place to hang out in to read and do studies.. then a cafe is a good idea.. you might have to buy a cup of coffee every hr or so to occupy a seat.

hope you find what your looking for.

it cannot hurt you....are in in highschool? collage?

do you go out for concert. party clubs and such?
just want to tell you something rom MY WON experience!

i am known as a shy person who always sits at home reads composes music, wrote lyrics and niovels, dances, paints, and speds hours on the internedt/ now this is all nice but why we all get generally STILL bored? we may need COMPANY..

so i went to a club hardly knew anybody but it all happenes very fast in clubs..i am not sugesting somehting quick and stuping just a normal talk getting to know people...going out more..i don`t know like: if you have homeswork to do you HAVE somethig to do.

so are you bored in general or you are earching for a nicer way to do homeswork because it bores you so much.....if so...remmeber that you can try always what you said..IF you can cocncentrate. trying is never out of place...go try anyhting th tyou have in mind....lots of great ideas come out of boredom....
